ABOUT DR. SCHWARTZWALD

David Schwartzwald, M.D. earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He continued graduate school studies in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Schwartzwald received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. Fifth Pathway and two years of General Surgery Residency were completed at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After finishing his 4 year residency in Urology at Brookdale, Dr. Schwartzwald moved to Boca Raton in 1987. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Schwartzwald has practiced urology in South Florida since 1987. He is currently on staff at Boca Community Hospital, North Broward Medical Center, and the Delray Community Hospital. He is also on staff at the West Boca Medical Center, where he has served as Chief of Surgery and as Chief of the Medical Staff at the hospital.

Dr. Schwartzwald was the first urologist to perform brachytherapy (radioactive seed implantation) for prostate cancer in the Boca Raton area. He is an experienced urologist with a special interest and training in erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence from the Southwest Impotency Center in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Dr. Schwartzwald has been awarded the UroLift® Center of Excellence designation based on achieving a high level of training and experience with the UroLift System. His facility provides superior care to men suffering from urinary tract symptoms.

Dr. Schwartzwald is skilled at the medical treatment of erectile dysfunction, BPH or enlarged prostate, vasectomy, and Peyronie’s disease.

ABOUT DR. YOUNG

Jacob Young, M.D., M.B.A., a native of Boca Raton, is a cum laude graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition. He completed a five-year joint M.D. and M.B.A. degree program from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Young was also elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Young completed a two-year general surgery residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center, including rotations in trauma surgery, vascular surgery and wound care. He then completed his four-year urology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, including rotations in pediatric urology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was an acting-fellow in urologic oncology.

Dr. Young is skilled in traditional surgery as well as minimally-invasive techniques using robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic approaches. As a general Urologist, he has a special interest in the of management of male voiding dysfunction, including BPH or enlarged prostate, the use of the latest surgical techniques, men’s sexual health, including erectile dysfunction and reconstructive surgery, urologic stone disease, and urologic oncology. He is also skilled at providing care to female and pediatric patients.

Dr. Young believes in a thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate approach to patient care. He offers his patients a balance of non-invasive medical treatment options and surgical management. He strives to build trusting relationships with his patients in order to facilitate a complete understanding of their urologic conditions and provide them with the best possible medical and surgical urologic care.
